| Cantillon to take on Three Peaks Challenge | |
Cantillon will be aiming to raise £10,000 for Whizz-Kidz young people’s mobility charity when the team climb the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales – in just 24 hours. Set to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon on 2nd - 3rd of July 2011, Cantillon’s team of climbers – comprising of Nick Taylor, Jason Crawley, David Strzelecki, Ian Brooks – are already in training to ensure they are up to the task. Having fund raised £8,000 last year, the target is to fund raise £10,000 for Whizz-Kidz and help provide disabled children and young people with vital mobility equipment. Since 1990, Whizz-Kidz has changed the lives of nearly 11,000 disabled children by providing them with access to mobility equipment, including powered wheelchairs. The charity also delivers wheelchair skills-training and other life-skills to help their transition from childhood to adulthood. Whizz-Kidz relies on donations in order to continue providing the services they offer for young disabled people.
