| Supporting green demolition | |||
| Taking its commitment to eco-friendly practice to another level, Cantillon, in conjunction with its Behavioral Safety Programme, has embarked upon an Environmental Sustainability campaign - a scheme that's set to take the company to the forefront of green demolition. The campaign's main aim is to enhance Cantillon as a first class demolition company, but one that is 100% dedicated to reducing waste throughout its practices. Initially Cantillon will launch the campaign through a poster, fronting the title, "Environment Under the Microscope". This will then continue with further posters to maintain the preliminary campaign's momentum. The first poster, "Cantillon Environment 6 Golden Rules", will display the following commitments: Rule 1 - Preventing Spills Rule 2 - Handling Waste Correctly Rule 3 - Correct Waste Management Rule 4 - Preventing Damage to Wildlife and Sensitive Areas Rule 5 - Preventing Nuisance - Noise, Dust, etc Rule 6 - Reduce, Re-use and Recycle As an ongoing part of this scheme, the company also advises each client on the optimum method of disposing material from the demolition of their site. This is being achieved by enforcing methods that ensure as much of the material produced from demolition and packaging is recycled and re-used. |
